A lot of players on Enlisted have difficulty with the plane controls at first. When playing on the console the original control setup can seem a bit like a drunk bear in control of a shopping trolley.
Once you have set up your controls to how you like them, the actual flying of the plane is no real problem and the only issue then is actually hitting the targets on the ground, which seem like invisible indestructible ants to begin with.
How to get kills with planes on Enlisted
The main trick with bombing runs is getting the timing and direction right.
Fly through the objective area towards the enemy spawn so that any stray bombs will land in their starting point, hitting enemy infantry and vehicles even if you miss the intended target you were aiming for.
Getting the timing right is most important and you typically need to drop the bombs earlier than you think. Do not wait until you are above the target and instead release the bombs around 200 metres before you get there. This will give them time to fly forwards along with the momentum of the plane.
Listen to the sound of the bomb dropping when you press the button. That noise gives you an idea how long the bomb is dropping for before it actually hits. Best way to practice is to experiment with different timing, try dropping bombs later, earlier etc until you get it right and hit that sweet spot.
Where should you aim for when doing a bombing run on Enlisted?
It helps if you have a teammate on the ground providing intel with the marking system, pinging tanks and troop locations. When flying blind with no idea where the enemy troops are it may seem impossible but there is an easy method that helps.
Check out the map and you can take an educated guess that enemy troops will be just behind the objective area. This is always a good spot to aim for.
Infantry will be stacking up around there, trying to get into the objective area.
Shooting the area with your cannons or machine guns as you come in means you can get hit markers and confirmation of where the troops are located.
Fly towards the target, diving down as you come in for the run. When the objective is around 200 metres away release the bombs then start pulling up by pressing down on the right thumbstick to lift your nose in the air. If you come in too close it is easy to bomb yourself with your own bombs as the back blast comes up and hits your plane.
Using this method it is easy enough to get 20 or 30 kills with each bombing run.
After each hit and before you start bombing you should always check the skies for enemy aircraft - these are the main threat when you are in a plane and should always be taken out first before concentrating on the ground targets.

Trouble with tanks on the ground?
Whilst this guide looks at flying planes and bombing runs, one of the main issues for players on Enlisted is dealing with tanks on the ground.
